Well, Jennifer, Giuliana and I arrived back in the States on the 23rd of June. After a few days we left the hustle and bustle of Big D and headed out west to take it slow for about a month. We were all really excited to see everyone and show off the new baby. As always "G" (that's what Giuliana told us she likes to be called. I think she is going through a rebellious stage right now.) Anyway, "G" was the star of the show, as always, and my suspensions were confirmed that she is the cutest baby in the whole world. Take that talking E*Trade baby!

We started our trip by staying at mom's. It was nice to be there. I think that Grammie was pleased with the latest addition to the family, and the Plumlee genes are definitely coming through. After a few days at mom's, it was time to head out to the booming metropolis of Eola, for the Fourth of July with Dee, Dawn and Jake. The fireworks display was once again the talk of the county (or at least the talk of the back porch that night), as myself, Dee, Dan, Jeff, and Jake were able to survive with all our digits intact and only minor burns.

After the festivities we stayed the week with dad and Deanna. It is very reassuring to know that "G" is not a neglected child. Her granddad undoubtedly loves her with all that he is and she is so blessed to have that much love in her life. On Saturday dad and Deanna were gracious enough to open up their home for a hamburger and hotdog social to celebrate the upcoming baptism of our little angel. Thank you to dad and Deanna for hosting, it was a great time and we really appreciate everything.

The next day, Sunday July 11th, we were blessed with the baptism of our daughter Giuliana, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Eola. It was a wonderful day and we could not be happier. We would like to thank all of our friends and family who were able to attend. A special thanks to Pastor Baden for the baptism and wonderful service, it is something Jennifer and I will never forget. To Aunt Kelly, for making the beautiful gown, we will always treasure it. To "G"s sponsors, Dacey and Greg, Giuliana is truly blessed to have y'all in her life, as are we. Kami and Martin, even though sickness prevented you from attending we could not be happier with our decision to have y'all be sponsors. We know that Giuliana will always have a special place for y'all in her heart, as y'all have undoubtedly made it into ours.

After the service, we once again lived up to our gypsy roots and moved to Dee and Dawn's for the week. It is always a blessing to stay there and we are so blessed to have y'all in our lives.
While in Eola we were able to catch up with our friends in Eldorado, Jhett and Becca, and no they are not part of the Mormons living out there, Jhett is lucky enough to have one woman that will put up with him, let alone a half dozen. We were also able to visit with our African friends, Matt and his new wife Lauren. It had been a few years since we had seen each other and it was fun catching up with everyone.
The week at Dee and Dawn's went by too fast for everyone and by the end of the week the West Texas winds had once again blown us back to mom's for the last few days. After our final goodbyes we left for a few days in Austin with Dacey, Greg, and the very shy and reserved Luke. The Dusek family met us down there and we all had a good time visiting and beating Dee at bowling.
As "my" month wound down we gathered all our possessions and head to Dallas for Jennifer's month. We may have left our friends and family back in West Texas but we will always cherish the memories we made and the time we spent with each and everyone. And though it may seem like just a short time we had to see each other, rest comfortably knowing that y'all are always in our thoughts and our hearts. Until next time, God Bless and here is a special message from "G".
